Wanting Jesus THAT much

"No one is ever united with Jesus Christ until he is willing to relinquish not sin only, but his whole way of looking at things." -Oswald Chambers

I have had this statement by Ozzie Chambers in my heart and mind all day. I can't get it out! When I read it and remember it, I am driven to wonder one thing:

Do I really want to be united with Jesus THAT much?

Does anyone want to be entangled with Jesus at heart, mind, and spirit enough to put aside the way you look at and perceive all things? Think for a second what this profound statement is saying. Am I WILLING to say the way I see ALL things can be put away and surrendered so that I might be able to be more united and entangled with Jesus Christ?

Do you understand that means not only be willing to admit you might be wrong and in conflict with the way Jesus sees the world, but also that you would be willing to not see things in any way that is not out of first and foremost a connection to the heart of Jesus.
