The Gravity Of God's Love

Think about gravity for a moment. It is one of the most powerful forces in the world, and yet it is silent and invisible. Most of our days we are unaware of it, even though it is the powerful force which holds everything in place. It holds things together and it is gentle enough to allow a feather to glide to the ground.

Think for a moment now of God's presence and power. His power is much like gravity, in that it fills every small crack of the world.

Then think of God's love. Paul says in Romans 8:31-39 that absolutely nothing can tear us from God's love. Think of the moments you tried to fight against His love for you, and you failed because love is irresistible.

God has never stopped calling your name! The pull, like gravity, may not always be felt or recognized. But in some potent moments of life I could not deny or resist the dramatic tug of his love.

For a moment, take a breath, and let go. Relent to that force of His love for you in the way your body does to gravity.
