Dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad: it is time

"For it is time to seek the Lord
that He may come and rain righteousness upon you."
           - Hosea 10:12

It is time for me to seek the Lord so that he would rain His righteousness upon me and my life. It is time for me to seek and keep seeking. I ask and keep asking. It is time for me to knock and keep knocking. I have grown weary of seeking and wondering what is going to happen, but if I am honest with myself, I have been waiting on God in an apathetic way. I have not been as active in my waiting as is necessary. Here is my challenge upon myself now. This is the time! It is time! It is time to seek the Lord.

My God, my Abba, I ask you to hear me. I seek your face and your presence, and your guidance. I knock upon the door of your mercy, love, grace, and provision. My God, My Abba, you hear me, but I will seek you and ask you without shame or reservedness. Like a child, I am prepared to lose all sense of tact and politeness. I am prepared to lose all senses of etiquette I have learned from...somewhere, and I do this without abandon in a way that trusts this is what you meant when you said I must become like a child.

I will ask that you hear me. I will call your name over and over and over and over and over until you say, "WHAT!!!!!" (Like I do to my 3 year old!) I will ask you over and over for provision, grace, blessing, righteousness until you are weary of my perseverance. I will ask you and over and over for a job, because I know you can give me the job I need. I will knock until you answer and open.

I am weary of polite memorized prayers. It is time for me to seek You. It is time.
