Won’t Stop Calling My Name – EP

Yeah, enough prodding from friends has moved me to make a 4 track spoken word EP. At this point, it is only an EP, which means I am writing and working on a full length. It also means this one does not have original music for the tracks. I am working with some other musicians to create some music tracks to back each of the tracks on the full length.

For now, I would be honored if you would like to grab the EP. You can sample it below, and you can grab it at

Favorite Poet: Propaganda [again]

This is the first piece I had ever seen by Propaganda, and it had me hooked from the first word. I saw it at Catalyst West Coast, but this performance is from Catalyst Atlanta.

Part 1

Unreasonable [poem]

Love sat down with hate
and wondered aloud
“why do you hate me?”

Hate answered love
with another question
“why do you love me”

Both answered aloud
at the same time
“Don’t know! Just do.”

New Poet: Hillary Kobernick

I have been trying to listen to more from Hillary Kobernick, though it is difficult to come across more of her material. I have only found two videos online to share. This is my favorite of the two, but my favorite piece I have heard from her is called “An Open Letter to Pat Robertson” (audio of which you can find at her site above) It is both incredibly well-informed and equally cutting. Enjoy!

Forever a favorite

This poem by Anis Mojgani may be one of my, if not THE, favorite poem. I believe I have posted this before, but I do like the video this person has made out of it. If you never have heard this before, shake the dust. If you HAVE heard it before, shake the dust, again.
